Mom got the “Best Ever” Present for her Birthday!!!

We just celebrated Mom’s birthday yesterday and we had a great time.  She is now on the other side of 50…..okay maybe it’s 60, but who is counting?  ruff, ruff, ruff!!!!

I asked her what she wanted for her  birthday and she told me she had already received it when she got the news that  there was help for my pancreatitis.  I am doing really well.  There are rules we have to follow but we are both willing to commit.

Does anyone remember  the song….that goes something like this.  “We’re just going along, singing a song, side by side”.  That’s our song.  Did I mention that I am 14????  That is 98 years old in human years.

I  have a few years on my mom but we keep each other going.  We are in this together.  The other day, I heard my Mom say she loves what she does when she writes sympathy letters for pets, because these are the people who love and are committed to their pets for life!!  What a blessing it is!!!

Pet Loss petloss

Mom and I saw the neatest article today in the Pet Heaven Herald News.

Ellie Mae who is a really cute Bloodhound doggie was out walking with Liz, Blue, Jessie, Bruce, Little Man, Lady and her Dad.  Her Dad had never met Fonzie the greeter before and she wanted them to meet and say “Hello”.  Fonzie extended his paw and shook his hand.  They talked about the beautiful  sunny day and they were off to finish their walk.

Suddenly, Ellie Mae started barking really loud.  Her Dad said, “Ellie Mae, what are you barking at”?  Ellie Mae said, “Dad, did you see that UPS guy knocking on Mom’s door”?  He said, “No, but apparently you did…..I know how you always like to protect your Mommy….good girl”!!

Dad said, “I hope she bought something nice for herself”…..Ellie Mae smiled and said, “Me too”!     ….and off they went into the Sunshine.

Peanut The Little Weiner Dog Meets Boxer Trio In Pet Heaven

Peanut was out walking on the streets of gold trying to get some traction as it is a little slippery at the beginning.  She looked up and saw three Boxers smiling at her as they walked over to help her.  They introduced themselves as Maggie, Minnie and Scout.  Minnie and Scout picked up Peanut and put her on the back of Maggie and told her to watch how Maggie walked without slipping on the gold.  Peanut was amazed at how good Maggie was.  Peanut jumped off and ran just like they did.  They all started laughing and the Boxer Trio invited Peanut to the Doggie Diner.  Peanut said she would love to go.  Great they said, it’s weiner dog night at the Diner!!!  Peanut say, “No way, I’m not gonna be anybody’s dinner tonight”!!

Maggie, Minnie and Scout cracked up laughing…..and told her “No….it’s a party for all the Weiner dogs in Pet Heaven”.  Peanut sighed with relief and off they went, paw in paw to the Dogie Diner.  Maggie whispered to Peanut….”It’s all vegitarian here”.  Peanut smiled!!

Babe told her Mom how she loved the stories they are hearing from the Pet Heaven Herald News.  Stay tuned for more!!

Dachshund Named Peanut Is Greeted by Fonzie at the Pearly Gates

pet lostA little girl named Peanut recently went to Pet Heaven and she was greeted by Fonzie the head Greeter.  He hugged her and welcomed her.  Fonzie read over her invitation and noticed that she had a nick name called “Stinky Dog”.  Fonzie said, “I understand you don’t like to take baths”.  Peanut replied, “Yes, that is true but that is not why they called me “Stinky Dog”.

About this time, O E Pete came on the scene and told Fonzie he had everything under control.  He looked at Peanut and said….”Do you want some socks like your Daddy has with his scent on them”?  Peanut jumped for joy!!!!!!!  “Yes, I do….that is why they called me “Stinky Dog” ’cause I love his socks”.  OE Pete said, “Consider it done and….I have some balls for you too”.

They took off together to go shopping for some more neat things.  Fonzie stood there for a moment and shook his head…”Women, I will never understand them”.  ruff, ruff, ruff.

One Eyed Pete Is Now Ordering Toys in Pet Heaven for Newcomers

When Mom and I read this article in The Pet Heaven Herald News, we remembered the story of One-Eyed Pete.  Pete was a boy kitty who was 23 years old when he arrived in Pet Heaven.  He was adopted by a wonderful couple who found him at the fair and he was a kitten at the time.  Apparently he had gotten into a fight and his eye was pretty bad and his body was in pretty bad shape too.  This wonderful couple picked him up and took him to the doctor.  They were unable to save his eye, but they pulled him thru some tough times and he lived.  Obviously, he went home with his new Mom and Dad.  They named him One-Eyed Pete.

He was the most  wonderful cat ever.  As mentioned, he lived for 23 years and the same Veterinarian who saved his life was able to be with him in his last moments here on earth.  What a great story of  love and commitment.

Now that Pete has both eyes with perfect vision and is dressed in his heavenly fur coat, he orders toys for all the new comers to Pet Heaven.  It is Pete’s job to find out what their favorite toys were on earth and match them exactly.  He has them ready for them and puts them in their bedrooms and they are available as soon as they arrive.  These toys are so comforting and the earth Mom’s and Dad’s are so glad they have these toys too.  Pete is doing a wonderful service.

Mom and I love these stories from Pet Heaven….hope you do to.  Chat soon, The Babe!!
